Are you feeling trapped in your own thoughts, and unsure of where to turn?
Or perhaps you’ve climbed many mountains in life, but you still feel a constant sense of tension and unhappiness. It’s okay to get help when the terrain of our mind becomes too complex to deal with alone. With eight years of extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient services, I’ve had the privilege to support countless individuals on their journey towards mental well-being.
The first step is figuring out what’s wrong, and then finding options. With the combination of medication management and counseling, my goal is to provide treatments that work, so you can get better. Challenges can arise at any stage of your life whether your teen or adult years, I specialize in the treatment of different conditions, including Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia.
By walking you through these challenges with education and options, we can make informed decisions together. I want you to have hope knowing you can face these problems and reach your best self. Let’s work together to make things better.
More about me
Georgina incorporates Evidence-Based research and the latest FDA approved medications in her practice, ensuring each client receives the most up-to-date and effective care. Her approach embodies her core values of humility, respect, honesty, reliability, motivation, and consistency. She treats her clients with utmost care by listening to them, educating, counseling, setting achievable self-management goals, and collaborating for referrals based on individual needs.
Her drive to work in the mental health field stems from a deeply personal experience dating back to 2000 when an individual with mental health challenges on the streets had a profound impact on her life. This experience, paired with her intrinsic ability to empathize and connect with people, sets her apart. She emphasizes the human elements in care, believing that words, nonverbal cues, and responses play crucial roles in fostering positive and enabling encounters.
In addition to English, Georgina is proficient in both Twi and Ga languages and offers services in these languages. As a dedicated professional, she is a member of the ANA and the Virginia Nurses Association. Always accommodating, Georgina adjusts her schedule to cater to the unique needs of each individual.
